We are a phone-free school. We maintain a screen-free environment for all students under the age of 13, ensuring they have the time and space to develop essential capacities—such as deep imagination, social empathy, and physical coordination—without the distraction of virtual interfaces.
We recognise that technology is a vital tool for modern life. At age 13, we introduce screens not as a replacement for hands-on learning, but as a sophisticated tool to support academic research and professional working habits. Our goal is to foster "media maturity," where students lead the technology rather than being led by it.
Because children inevitably encounter digital spaces outside the classroom, our commitment to internet safety begins in Kindergarten. By introducing age-appropriate conversations about healthy boundaries and digital citizenship early on, we empower our students with the discernment and resilience they need to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.
We are proud to stand alongside our families in the Screen-Free Childhood campaign. Recognising that a low-tech childhood is most successful when supported by a like-minded community, our parents play an active role in fostering an environment where face-to-face play and genuine connection remain the norm. Together, we provide a supportive network that helps families navigate the challenges of the digital age, ensuring our children can grow at their own pace.
